DANCE

I have been dancing since the age of 2, but my family claims I danced since the time I could walk. Practicing both recreationally and competitively in high school, I trained primarily in modern and ballet on a concert dance track at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY where I just graduated. I was the secretary of Rithmos, an auditioned-based jazz and hip-hop club on campus in which I ran their social media pages and choreographed for the group in addition to performing. At Skidmore, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in several performance opportunities, choreographic processes, lighting design projects, and educational residencies.

With over 18 years of training, I have experience performing as a soloist and in groups. I have worked in professional rehearsal environments with guest artists Peter Chu, Takehiro Ueyama, Brenda Way and Dexandro Montalvo, Monica Bill Barnes, and BalletX, and engaged in professor and student works. My choreography has been presented at Skidmore’s Celebration Weekend, Tang Teaching Museum, The Foundry, School For Contemporary Dance and Thought, and soon Manhattan Movement and Arts Center. As a freelance artist I have danced for 8&1 Dance Company East and Madison Florence, and am currently a Trainee with KAIROS Dance Theater in Boston, MA.
